We love welcoming schools and youth groups to visit our church. The stunning mosaic interior provides an excellent and inspiring resource for teaching RE, art, history and even maths. Many of our tour volunteers are ex teachers.
Until September 2026 activities for schools and youth groups are fully funded thanks to the National Lottery Heritage Fund and groups can visit for FREE! From September 2026 a small charge to cover the cost of materials will be levied.
Option 1: An age-appropriate church tour exploring the colourful mosaics and the stories hidden within them. Followed by a mosaic workshop in the church hall. Children will make their own coaster mosaic inspired by the church. Cost £2.50 per child.
Length 1.5 – 2 hours.
Option 2: An age-appropriate church tour exploring the colourful mosaics and the stories hidden within them. The tour includes some activities within the church to engage the children. Cost £1.00 per child.
Length one hour.
Option 3: A self-guided tour. Contact us to check that the church is free on your chosen day. Bring your group and explore at your leisure. Note that you will need coins to turn on the lights.
